On the week-end of March 24 some of our Venturer Company went to Camp Carter to assist with a Brownie Camp hosted by the Coxheath/Westmouth Guide Group. John, Jay and Andrew arrived Friday night and Chris showed up Saturday morning. After helping with the Opening Flagbreak on Saturday, it was on to setting up and running four activity stations. We ran four sets of activities - John had golf/potato sack races, Jay ran the activity involving panning for gold/racing boats carve out of soap and a small hike, "Jolly" ran the Treasure hunt and Chris worked at the double compass project
After the four groups of Brownies went thru the different stations we scrambled to light a quick fire for the Brownie Campfire and then it was onto an hour of cutting firework with Jay at the helm of the chainsaw. After supper it was a quiet night of movies on the dvd at headquarters while our Venturer Advisor Gerald set up the projector to show the Movie "Fly Away " to the Brownies at the MacLean Building. Sunday was the usual routine of cleaning up the buildings and packing for the trip home.
