On Friday Oct 27 some of our Rover crew headed to Camp Carter to assist with the 6th annual Survivor Camp. Pictures and write up to follow
The St. Theresa's 5th vanier venture....err, i mean "Rovers" arrived at various times to camp carter on Friday, Oct 27 to take part in Survivor 06. Chris, John, Joley and Jullian arrived friday and spent the day just relaxing around their campfire, which had a tendacy to be "invaded" by other groups. It wasn't too late of a night and by 11:00 everyone was sound asleep. Morning came, and the ever so energetic rovers stumbled out of their sleep to cook a quick breakfast(or no breakfast) before horseshoe. After horse shoe the Rover prepared and ran some of the activities for the younger members. These included the pyramid puzzle, ball/pipe game, balance beam and colour puzzle game. These activities lasted most the morning, when they were finished a quick lunch was gobbled down. Around that time Grant also arrived, which was convieniant since Chris was soon leaving to go to work. Since the morning games were over so quickly (they were expected to last over the afternoon as well) more activities were developed for the afternoon, such as a rescue situation and a hula-hoop station. After supper we gather firewood for the campfire and hung around the campfire till late evening. It was a quiet night. Overnight there was a heavy rain and wind so the next morning we packed a lot of wet tents and gear before the 10:00 O'clock horseshoe and departure.
