Celebrating our
30th year at May Camp!!
May Camp is a pioneer-style camp open to groups of
Scouts, Ventures, Guides, Pathfinders, and Senior Branches. Groups come to camp self-contained with all
gear necessary to take part in the camp i.e. tents, stoves, food etc. The camp
is held at Camp Carter, the Scouts Canada Camp, Boularderie, Cape Breton from May 19 - 22, 2006.
The phone number for the camp is (902) 674-2271.
The whole weekend will
follow the theme 30 Years of Magic.
Plan the set-up of your campsite, gateway and theme activities to
reflect your idea of magic!
Let your imagination
take you to the past, the present or the future!
The weekend events will include a wide game,
county fair (Magical Mystery Tour), evening craft and sport activities,
campfires, camp challenges, a youth forum and inspection. A detailed schedule
will be provided.
Drag your gear out of
storage, and dust it off. It is going to be another awesome year at May Camp!!
Scouts are camping in the Family Camping Area while
Guides will be in the Big Field. Groups
are reminded to seek out a member of the Headquater Staff who will assign them
a campsite and make sure they are registered.
Registration:
$6.00 per camper, which includes a pin. If you have
